Samsung Announce 4 New Colour For Galaxy S4

Korean phone manufacturer, Samsung last week release a statement that it has managed to ship more than 10 million unit of its latest Galaxy S4 smartphone to retailers and telecommunication companies worldwide barely a month after the handset was launched.

The company said that the previous Galaxy S3 which is the predecessor of the recently launched Galaxy S4 took almost 50 days to reach the same 10 million mark in term of global channel sales while the second generation of the Galaxy S series the S2 took more than 5 five months to achieve the same target while the Original S series took 7 month to reach the same milestone. Judging by the short space of time taken by the device to reach this record sales. It’s a clear evidence that the Galaxy Series is clearly well placed as the most popular smartphone.  Unfortunately, Samsung did not revealed the details about the units that is left on store shelves or in warehouses.

In comparison, Apple’s latest flagship phone the iPhone 5 sold more than 5 million units to consumers in the first alone after it was released. This might be the sales number that the S5 could reach.

With the record sales achieved in record time, Samsung seems to very eager to push the sales further more. Samsung announce that it will release 4 more new colour to join the black and variant. Samsung further clarified that it will release the blue and red model of the S4 by the middle of this year and would come out with purple and brown colour later this year. Sorry ladies, There is no pink version coming!

Samsung finally made the Galaxy S4 available in our local market on April 27 at the price of RM 2199 for 16GB Octa-Core version. Samsung have yet to release any details regarding the availability of the quad-core LTE version of the Galaxy S4 in Malaysia.
